Your safety matters to us
Meeting new people requires trust. We take that responsibility seriously with thoughtful policies and careful community management.
Our approach to safety
Safety isn't an afterthought—it's built into how Planzly works.
Curated experiences
All experiences take place at vetted venues in public settings. We never arrange private meetups for first meetings.
Small groups
You'll meet in groups, never one-on-one with strangers. This creates a safer, more natural environment.
Human oversight
Real people review matches and monitor feedback. We don't rely solely on automated systems.
Privacy first
Your information stays private
We're careful about what we share and when. Your privacy is respected at every step.
- Full names aren't shared until you both choose to connect
- Contact details are never shared without explicit consent
- Your feedback about others is completely confidential
- Detailed profile answers are used for matching, not displayed
- Location is generalised to your area, not precise
- You control what information is visible to others
Reporting concerns
If something doesn't feel right
We make it easy to report concerns and take every report seriously.
Private feedback after every experience
After each experience, you can privately share feedback about the event and other attendees. This feedback is never shared with the person it's about.
Report a concern anytime
You don't need to wait for the feedback prompt. If something concerning happens, you can report it immediately through the app.
Every report is reviewed by a real person. We don't use automated systems to make decisions about safety concerns.
Block or avoid anyone
You can choose to never be matched with someone again—no explanation required. This is permanent and confidential.
Community standards
What we expect from members
Planzly works because members treat each other with respect and consideration.
Be respectful
Treat other members the way you'd want to be treated. Listen actively, respect boundaries, and make space for everyone in the conversation.
Be honest
Your profile should accurately represent who you are. Don't misrepresent your intentions, interests, or circumstances.
Be reliable
When you accept an invitation, others are counting on you. If you can't make it, let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust the group.
Respect the friendship focus
Planzly is for friendship, not dating. Romantic approaches are not appropriate and will be taken seriously if reported.
A note on honesty
We can't guarantee that every experience will be perfect or that every person you meet will become a friend. What we can promise is that we take your safety seriously, respond to concerns promptly, and continuously work to improve.
Meeting new people always involves some uncertainty. We aim to minimise risk while preserving the genuine human connection that makes friendship possible.
