We believe making friends as an adult shouldn't be this hard.
Our Story
Planzly started with a simple observation: making friends as an adult is genuinely difficult. Your university friends scatter across the country. Work friendships fade when jobs change. Moving to a new city means starting from scratch.
The tools that exist don't help. Dating apps aren't designed for friendship. Networking events feel forced and transactional. Social media gives the illusion of connection without the substance.
We built Planzly to solve the real problems that prevent adults from making new friends:
- Finding compatible people — matching based on interests, lifestyle and social energy, not appearances
- Making plans — curated experiences at good venues, with groups of the right size
- Building real friendships — facilitating repeated connection so relationships can actually grow
We're starting in Birmingham because it's a city full of interesting people who deserve better ways to connect.
